Gayla Doucet - Background and professional experience
Gayla Doucet is the Owner and President of People Powered Solutions LLC, and a professionally certified Coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF). Her international business career includes both large corporations and small businesses. She has been a catalyst and supporter for workplace change throughout her career, gathering a wide variety of practical experience and value as a business manager. Her wide scope of business experience enables her to effectively relate to other business managers, independent consultants, entrepreneurs and a wide variety of talented individuals seeking purpose, increased career performance and personal excellence in their lives.
In her extensive corporate career with IBM Canada, Ltd., Gayla was a key manager and team leader in major internal organizational changes driven by new technologies. She leveraged her talents in people management, facilitation and technical skills to integrate new technologies that created new career opportunities throughout the organization. She was recognized for her successful achievements with an IBM Americas/Far East Special Contribution Award, and international speaking engagements.
As an independent consultant, Gayla's former company in Canada, MarTech Business Group, continued supporting talented people through major workplace changes. MarTech specialized in facilitating adult career transitions into the field of technology. Gayla's professional qualifications in human performance diagnostics were a key component in MarTech's solutions for successful career transition planning. Educational institutions and private training companies contracted MarTech to develop and deliver career transition workshops coordinated with specific IT job training (Object Oriented Programming, Microsoft technical specialities, etc.). Among her clients in British Columbia, Canada, were University of Victoria, Simon Fraser University, BC Institute of Technology, University of Alberta, GP Technologies and the Department of Human Resources and Social Development Canada.
While residing in Canada, Gayla also enjoyed entrepreneurial success with her husband through establishing FACS Records Centre(tm). The new company's services included the systematized storage, retrieval and destruction of inactive business records. FACS Records Centre(tm) was franchised throughout North America, which eventually led Gayla and her husband to move to Arizona.
After moving to Arizona, Gayla managed Distributor Support and Services for an Arizona-based developer of human performance diagnostics. During the next four years, she applied her diverse experience and talents in coaching, communication, writing, product development, facilitation, webcasting, curriculum development, certification testing, and consultative expertise to contribute to the company's growth throughout North America. In addition, she continued to pursue extensive professional development in leading-edge human talent diagnostics, including the Hartman Value Profile.
In 2004, Gayla created People Powered Solutions LLC to design and deliver innovative solutions that empower both business professionals and individuals to successfully work through change and achieve their work and personal goals.
